Atron is an AI based waste sorting robot. Atron first detects the presence of waste using an RGB sensor, then analyzes and classifies the waste type, performs the separation process using its robotic arm, and finally monitors the entire operation. It can sort a total of nine types of waste, including plastic, paper, and glass. Atron boasts a recognition accuracy of 99.3% and can process 96 pieces of waste per minute. Additionally, unlike human workers who operate for eight hours a day, Atron can run 24/7.
